So I parked in a culdesac in Midway back in March and racked up $325 in parking tickets. My car was parked there for 3 days. I didn't see any signs saying no parking and my friend assured me that she always parked there so it wouldnt be a problem. I left my car there (by her house) cause she gave me a ride to a college for the weekend. I sent all the tickets in to appeal them in court and they immediately took 2 of the 4 tickets away on the receipt they gave back. So now the total is only $175. My court date is in a few days and I was gonna go tomorrow and take pictures of the spot I parked to show that I can park there. Although the big ticket was for parking within 15' of a fire hydrant (didnt know that, I thought it was like 5'). The other was being too far from the curb.
Any points I should bring up? I'm just hoping the judge is cool and tells me to settle for less money and pay it. Any way I could get away with taking a picture of my car parked in a different spot and just lie? I mean I'm sure the cop didn't take pictures when he measured how far I was from the hydrant. Although my word vs him, he'll always win.
Any input would help, thanks.
