I have been doing some work on my Harley..There is a bolt that requires a torque setting of 60 lbs. The problem is my torque wrench is a 3/8 drive, and a 3/8 drive socket is too beefy to fit in the spot where the bolt is...I have to use a 1/4 drive socket with a 1/4 drive extension. Then I have to use an adapter to bring it up to a 3/8 drive to mate it to my torque wrench..The question is..

Does the use of the adapter change the torque setting at all?

The adapter won't change but the extension will lower the value slightly.
