It's not very hard...just time consuming. I print the stencils off a website, then you just tape them to the pumpkin and poke holes along the lines. Then you trace the holes and carve with small pumpkin saws. You can use transfer paper I guess but I don't go that far.

A couple hours each, probably. I took my time doing them, was watching the Illini game while carving the zombie one, so I spent over 3 hours on that one. But I was stopping often to watch the action.

I can't take credit for the designs, though. There's a website called zombie pumpkins that has a bunch of different designs to use. I paid $2 to print off the 2 designs each year.

They turn out well, but the nice part is they don't have to be perfect to look really good when lit up. You don't notice small imperfections much.

those are very nice.... i didnt do any this yr the house i moved into is around a lot of trees & woods so i have too many rodents to put "food" outside
