This was not The Police but a group The 3 members were in with a guy named Mike Howlett called Strountium 90.

They were a punk rock band as their sound was much harder than The Police.


However here's a song by them which was acoustic and sung by Sting which was re-recorded by The Police becoming one of their major hits.

I'm quite sick of many bands and the same songs they play on Classic radio. There's a local station I listen to that plays deeper tracks and some rarer classic hits that don't get played as often. I've heard minor hits from my favorite group The Guess Who like Rain Dance, Albert Flasher and Star Baby instead of American Woman which I'm a little sicknof.

It was pretty bad, but nowhere near as bad as hearing the infinitely more shitty solo Sting songs every ten minutes in the 90s.

Songs from the Labyrinth is actually a pretty cool album. Sting learned lute and recorded a bunch of John Dowland (British renaissance composer) tunes. Usually they're performed by operatic singers, which is way over-trained for the music of that time period; so they're actually much more authentic with Sting singing them.
