I don't understand why it is that we constantly have to listen to the anouncers talk about all of the celtics injuries? They talk about KG a lot (we get it) he is good but what bugs me is all the air time that they spend talking about the Celtics garbage players i.e. who really cares if Scalabrine is out? The guy averages 3ppg, he would ride even our bench, I would take Gray over him any day. On the other hand I have never heard them mention Deng, not even once, who is better (even injured) than all the Celtics injured players other than KG combine

I have to agree.

Scalabrine wasn't going to do anything for them if healthy. Powe would only help them because Garnett is out.

We're playing with an obviously banged up John Salmons and without Luol Deng, and the only other SF on the roster is Linton Johnson, so we have our own issues of depth due to an injury.

I've been frustrated that no nearly nobody makes the point I'm about to make. Boston made a choice last year. They put all their eggs in a short-term basket. They were willing accept the risk of an aging core, going all in for a team with a short, albeit wide-open, window. It was the right move. They won the title. But the other side of that deal was that they willingly built their team utterly dependent on three older guys, all of whom have dealt with injury issues. Logic tells you that as guys get older, they risk of injury gets higher. As far as I'm concerned this is a symptom of their Big 3 strategy. More power to them. They have one title, had another great year and have, to most everyone's surprise, actually developed a few other pieces, but I'm never going to cry over a injury to any of their Big 3. It goes with the territory.

As for Powe and Scalabrine, please, it's kinda junk when Powe's injury gets as much or even more hype than Deng's.

I agree, it's much like Miami with Shaq. They took a big gamble, it worked, but it's not the kind of gamble that leads to a dynasty. That's okay, it's tough to win a title, and if you can do it, you go for it.

Thank you, great point, I scream it every time they mention Leon Powe. It's like Deng doesn't even exist. I think Marc Jackson mentioned Deng once during game 4 but that was the first time I had heard anything about him. I think Salmons' injury was mentioned 1st game but after that never again. We are missing 1 and 1/2 of our main core, and they are missing basically 1. I think the reason they keep mentioning the Celtics injuries because they are looking tired. This girl I was watching one of the games with asked me how old the Celtics were because they seem tired, slower and much older. (I guess that wasn't game 3) The Bulls are overachieving so they aren't going to mention our problems. But we can, yes if we had a healthy Deng and Salmons the Celtic's w/o KG would probably only win 2 games against the Bulls.

NBA announcers have a giant hard-on for all things Celtics. What bothers me more than their constant injury reminders, is how INTENSE KG is.

"Oh my KG is such an intense guy, this must really be hurting him that he can't help his team out on the court." Gimme a friggin break already. Running around screaming and acting like an ass all the time is not intensity. KG does play hard all the time but announcers make it seem like he's the most intense player in the league which is simply not true. He's just the most vocal in the league.

And I guarantee he was told to go into the locker room by the Refs in game 1 because he was being a total assclown, jawing with Noah and other Bulls players, not because he's so "intense" he couldn't watch the game from the bench, which I might add is complete and total BS, and if I was a Celtic I would have lost alot of respect for him not being out there.

I think outside of KG's injury it is overblown. I can see it being brought up about him but Powe and Scalabrine are nothing special. Sure they are thin in the front court but our sf's are beat up or out. If Salmons were a 100% we would be looking to close out tomorrow.

Better yet if salmons was 100% we would have closed out yesterday

That is not to say that salmons is a superstar god, just that these games have been soooo close that the addition of another 3pt shooter/20 ppg scorer to open of up the lane and keep the celtics from doubling up on rose would make all the difference

John Salmons as Jordan reincarnated wasn't going to turn game 3 into a victory for us.

True we wouldn't have won game 3 with Deng and Salmons but with a healthy Salmons they probably take both in Boston and the Bulls would have a 3-1 lead. Not to mention he makes his ft's so if he was getting to the line more, our ft percentage would be better, therefore more points. But that's all what ifs, I really hope they don't come out like game 3 for game 5, I gotta admit I am nervous.

Bulls get to the conference finals and there will be talks about whether or not VDN should've gotten some coach of the year votes lol. HIGHLY UNLIKELY. Orlando will come back I'm pretty sure. I still think this series is up in the air.

Orlando just isn't built for the playoffs. They really need a go to scorer, Hedo is a 3rd tier go to guy.

Re:Anyone else tired of hearing about the injured

Well if we get by the "injured" Celtics then the "injured" Bulls have a good chance against either Orlando or Philly. It is not a given but if we can beat this Celtics team there is no reason why we shouldn't be facing Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals. I know it is early and I shouldn't have said it, I knocked on wood. Lets worry about these old timers first.
