Atlanta ties the series at 2. All of a sudden, the Bulls lost the series.
If anything, we have learned that losses have been the Bulls best friend this season. For some annoying reason, the team has constantly lowered their standards after a win. They may not lower their standards a whole lot, but in a game 4 scenario, you need to find that extra gear all around.
I liked Boozer's confidense on offense, and a decent game on defense(for him). I didn't like Noah's energy late in the game.
I didn't like C.J. Watson at all here, and if he would have brought more energy off the bench, then Rose could actually rest instead of forcing himself.
I loved Taj, and I think he should have been used more AFTER he built some momentum.
I don't like that Kurt sat the game, because he would have helped slow down the game when we needed to get our composure the most.
Kyle can make contested shots, but he should have been red flagged sooner than later, because he clearly wasn't feeling it tonight.
Aside from one REAL flaw from Asik, he was outstanding, and I think the Bulls have to rely on him more in second chance situations. They didn't, instead the gameplan was to reset the plays on fresh 24s, which is only good when you have a 10+ lead, not when the opponent is gathering themselves quick enough to adjust their defense.
Rose is the MVP, so he can do whatever he wants, but it does bother me that he fails to follow up high FG% games with another one, he should know better by the 3rd quarter.
Bogans should have sat for the rest of the game after tweaking his ankle. His jitters in the second half allowed Atlanta to regain confidence and use him as an open door.
And Deng clearly has fits when he has to play Smith for the entire game, there should have been some adjustments made, if not because of the matchup, Thibs should have recognized that Deng needs a break too.
Brewer needed a few more minutes here too. He hasn't had the chance to get his style of game going this series, and one would think that his length and athleticism would be ideal against Joe Johnson.
