We've had dish for years. Customer service has been solid when we've needed it. I would have an attic antenna attached to the TV for local HD, as well, because a rain or heavy snow will knock the signal out. Overall, we like it.

DTV is the Cadillac of satellite/cable tv.
I chose to cut the cord all together and went with KODI installed on mini pcs and now we just stream all content.

How can you have Dish without a Hopper? Do you only have one TV and are looking to add more? We have the Hopper and a couple of Joeys. Occasionally with recorded material the sound does not match the video. Then again that Joey is on the opposite end of the house and a level up from the Hopper.

I have had Dish for 10 years and have a 622 DVR which is 3 releases back. I have the 622 hooked up to my TV in the Den. The 622 allowed you to split off the signal and that goes to a TV in the basement. Then I have a SD receiver hooked to a TV in the living room we dont watch.
I have been putting off any upgrades cause the 622 has worked perfectly for 10 years. Just decided to call them and see what deal I could get. By the time I was done I got all the equipment and installation for free, plus a $10/mo reduction on my HBO and HD for free for life and a cheese smokie link and fun sized bag of chips.

Da fuq? Dish has the highest rated DVR in the industry for the past 10 years. The DTV DVR is third rated after Dish and Tivo. The people on my picture are so life like and real they scare me.
