she says avoid hard or chewy food like bagel or caramel or french bread. Since it's a temporary, it can still get dislodged and come off. If you're going to insist on eating these foods, bite and chew on the real teeth. Not the ones with the temporaries

The dweebs think I'm a righteous dude.
As do I.

Suffice to say, when you've had bonding on 2 of your front teeth due to a sportz injury and one breaks off... at work... and you can't do anything about it until 6 PM, and then commence 3 hours of injections and drilling... the struggle (and copay) is real. I just went around singing Pogues songs all day. My teeth are already fucked up anyway, but it's something to walk around missing half of one.

Thanks for listening

That's serious stuff, good luck moving forward, and how awesome is CCS for having answers.

indeed. **** reddit! sorry for being a pre madonna and oversharing. I was genuinely curious because I'm afraid to brush my past and present teeth for fear of another incident, but it's fun to drink while my mouth still feels like 2 inner tubes flapping against each other with the Novocaine, or how I imagine @SilenceS s's sex life.

I was at the dentist for 2 hours today. Had a root canal in July and still having issues 3 months later with the crown. Keeps breaking and popping out. Stay away from laffy taffy.

They use different cement for the temporary vs the permanent ceramic crowns. It's just meant for the 3 weeks it takes to get the permanent crowns.

Here is a true dental story:
-When I was a kid I had a sadist incompetent dentist that installed braces on my teeth. For 3 years he fucked around with my teeth but never finished the job. My mouth was always bleeding and I could barely eat. Because of that expereince, i developed an immunity to pain in my mouth.

I have had a lot of dental work done in my life (due to too much soda). I didnt like Novocain and the numbness so I convinced my dentist to just drill cavities, pull wisdom teeth, do root canals without any pain killers. He has been doing this for 30 years with me and cant beleive it. Says he has one other patient that uses no pain killer. It not a machismo thing, I just dont feel pain in my mouth after the braces thing as a kid

Beleive it or not

That was the exact advice my dentist gave me when I got my crown installed--temp: be careful. Once the permanent one is in and the cement bonds you should be good.

The only unfortunate part of the experience was that my gold crown didn't come with a matching Cadillac Escalade

I lost a front tooth in a sports injury and got a temporary, then it fell out at a restaurant the night before I flew out for my honeymoon. Panic ensued.

My dentist took pity on me, met me in his office at 12:30 am and glued it back in.
