Finally upgraded all of my gear this year so I am looking to get rid of old stuff.

If anyone is looking to start playing I will give this stuff away, if no one wants it I will probably just sell it at play it again. If you are short and skinny, pass it by. If you are 6'0 + and have some pudge to you, its a perfect set. The only thing you would need to buy is a helmet and skates. Considering even buying used starting out outfitting yourself for hockey can run you 300+ dollars, if you are remotely interested I wouldn't pass it up.

Wow... very cool. I really really wish I could start playing, I'd take you up on it in a heartbeat. I just don't know when I'd have the time or where.

If you have never played before the best way to start is just to check out rinks and see if they have instructional sessions. People of all skill levels participate in those just to play. I am gonna be dropping in to one of those every sunday night at Fox Valley Ice Arena until my rec league starts in June.

I would look at playing anywhere. So long as friends are there. I am not a fan of playing with folks I don't know.

Thats what road trips are for... Do games in the burbs and city, thus no one complains.
