Too much light pollution by me, but I'd have love to have seen it.
Same. I saw them when I was in the attic circle, while going to school in Sweden and they are totally worth making an effort to see. Especially if you just have to drive out of the city and not go that far north.Too much light pollution by me, but I'd have love to have seen it.
Try snapping a picture. Don't know why that worked but it did. That's dope. I was hoping I'd be able to see it but unfortunately wasn't able to given all the light pollution in Las Vegas. I did see someone posted they could see it in the lesser developed southwest side of Vegas. It wasn't visible at my apartment but I'm also a lot closer to the strip than they were so no go for me. Will look again tonight and maybe we'll get lucky.
An article on that just made it into my feed (kinda late to be helpful). I couldn't get any good shots back then with whatever 3.8MP, digital camera I had. These photos actually do it justice, although there is nowhere near as much red and purple. It's mostly green and some red if you are lucky. Seeing it move around is something else.Wife captured this around midnight. Couldn't see it with the naked eye but could if you snapped a picture. (Not sure how that works)

I was told look through your phone and set the exposure to 3 seconds.I keep hearing about the picture thing. Maybe I'll try that tonight.
Cheers I'll experiment.I was told look through your phone and set the exposure to 3 seconds.
Pro Tip: You get more pink if you take a picture using a pink phone.Pink coloring is pretty rare in northern lights. I did not watch the recent show, but thankfully I have seen them a ton already so I didnt feel I was missing out
