I've got a 3rd gen that I'm thinking about doing this to...but I was wondering if there were any drawbacks.

Lol I missed this thread.... I don't do Apple, though I know what OneBud is asking about.

Jailbreak is a term you hear with Apple products cause they tend to be locked down so they can only run applications or other software which Apple approves of and jailbreaking means you are modifying your Apple device in order to allow it to run any application or software you decide you want it to run.

That is the basics of it, though I cannot help OneBud because as I said I do not consume Apple technology.... mostly because of the jailbreak thing but also because they overprice their stuff.

I don't usually talk to my bills, myself. I'm also not too familiar with Apple TV. What does it do normally and what does it do once you free it from jail?

Once you free it from its metaphorical prison it can use apps which will allow OneBud to get most of his TV from his internet connection rather than paying for 300 channels, 290 of which he does not watch.... or at least that is my guess.

I tend to only watch sports shit, documentaries or news when I watch TV.

Sadly...cable tv is pretty lacking in the sports department.

I have one of those too. She's not actually a teen yet but will be in exactly 1 week. I don't yell at her for not cleaning her room. Mom does and it certainly has not made a difference.

I think my bills and I have just been estranged so long they can't upset me anymore. I never see them since mostly all are set up to be automatically taken out of my account on a certain day of the month. My wife will tell me to leave her money for this or that once in a while. I do yell at her. Does that count?
