I used to have a subscription, and just found hundreds I had stored away while I was cleaning out my attic. They're not incredibly old, but range between 7-13 years old and they're in good condition.

Are they/will they be worth anything , or should I just toss them?

You can usually manage to sell full sets if you have them. I don't know how frequently individual magazines sell for high prices though.

If you find something in them worth saving them keep them.

If not don't.

Yeah I think I'm just gonna toss them.

Also, it's kinda crazy how many times Tebow was on the cover

Unless some crazy hype or promotion happens, you wont know until about 30 years later. I just save the stuff that I like to use as a specific reference or things that I appreciate as a fan. Like I have the A Star Is Born, Sky High, and Air Power Jordan cover SI issues. Copies might be listed on ebay for $10-20, but no one actually buys them. I like them, so they stay in a box.

I put these in the category of cheap bin goods you sell in the summer. ie: Throw them in a box at a garage/yard sale, put a sign up that says something like $0.50 each, then have a bonfire with the rest.

I have the original 70-win Bulls prediction newspaper. It's worth less than the cover price, but for whatever reason I keep it.

I collect first edition Stephen King hard backs.
I have some seriously nice ones but not the extra specials... (Miss print Salems Lot of first run Carrie), I've looked for years.
They are worth stupid money... I always look at garage sales... You never know?
However some are pretty valuable... when he passes they will go Special person.
Have multiple firsts in Shining and most Bachman books... Cujo, Christine, Semetary, Stand, Fire Starter etc...
Most of the 80s books, Misery and what not.
They weigh more than they are worth but **** it, it's a hobby.
If you got room keep it, never know...

My brother has collected comics since the early 70s, he buys two, one to read and one to never crack and goes straight into a container. He owns a toy/game store in N Carolina. I can't be sure but his collection must be worth a ton. Shit the original Star Wars stuff alone must be rediculous.

We need a collecting thread. So much sport memorabilia stuff to talk about.

Ebay says the swim suit issues are about one dollar. Championship issues go for more but the only issues that are $50 or $100 have autographs.

For $500 'WILT CHAMBERLAIN Signed 1972 Sports Illustrated Cover'

If you package the last 13 swim suit issues that might be worth something. If you get some autographs on the Blackhawks championship issues they would be worth something, more in 20 years.

In a few years when Kane is dead an autographed copy of this will be worth $$$$

The swimsuit issues are the only thing that hold their value.
