I'm the happiest i ever been in my life, I'm retired, i have young children that i just adore, ( cause they are not like i was ) and a great wife.
Life wasn't always this way for me, 2 failed marriages beforehand, a lot of turmoil in my early-mid years.
I was Mad at the world many many years , it cost me dearly, but i finally got over it .
I appreciate all the people in my life, i appreciate the regulars on CCS. Thanks guys you make my day better and brighter.
I dont have @Omeletpants money ( so he claims) but i have something i have heard time to time in my life , which @Omeletpants will never have.
I have integrity.

P.S Sorry for getting mushy, but this is me .
Now back outside to play on my old tractor , getting yard ready for sons 6 year old Bday party tomorrow .

Learned a long time ago that I will always want things that I think will make me more happy - bigger house, nicer car, better job title, etc but you gotta learn to be happy with what ya got and the rest will take care of itself

Basically I’ve always been on the happy side. Getting closer to retirement, did pretty good with the stocks, have decent health, a great family. Going to be able to live comfortably in Colorado when I do decide to get out!

Yeah, I’m pretty happy. I try not to let the mundane aspects of life get to me too much but they still do at times. No matter how annoying work or the drive home is, it all disappears when I get home to my kids and they greet me with a hug. Then they start acting like two typical little boys and they become a tiny bit of the problem...

Agreed, happiness is not a destination one simply arrives at. It's a feeling. Feelings change. I am happy right now though.

As @HeHateMe said, happiness is a fleeting emotion but I'd definitely say that I'm content.

I'm really just excited for what the near future holds. In just a couple months I'll be applying to transfer out of community college, and I'm really excited for that. It'll be the first time I've lived alone, so that'll occupy my next 2 years. Family is doing well, both of my older brothers are pursuing their graduate education's, which I'm also excited about.

Overall it feels like real life is starting, so yeah I'm just excited.

Yeah, LOU is loving life, good for you man. I'm in a good place, I have everything I've ever wanted, I'm usually in a good mood, I guess that's happiness.

When somebody posts enough, you can get a feeling, It was pretty obvious from the start @Fatman LOU was happy and ommy is miserable, those are the two extremes, but I think I get a pretty good impression on most frequent posters.

I never got rich or famous. Never started my own business or had a mess of kids. Never owned property and have not even owned a car in 15 years. Never committed to some sort of fiscal responsibility and have accepted that I will have to work until I am dead.

But holy hell did I have a lot of fun with this life and with any luck and a decent health plan...there is still a few decades of fun to be had.
