As much as I loved Kane in game 5 vs Nashville..I loved Joel Ward a little more.

He also deflected Sopel's point shot right to Hossa to win it in OT.

Yup, you are right, never noticed it until now... Thank you Joel Otto, er I mean Ward!

That game was catapulted the Hawks right into the seat of the Cup... Nashville might have been the toughest series of them all.

I saw Kane as the last Hawks player to touch the puck with his stick. Did it not? Regardless if Ward helped the cause. Thanks Ward...but the call was right Kane scored the goal.

Kane scored the goal. I don't get it.

Agree though the Preds series was nasty tough. I don't think it is a case of the Hawks waking up and thinking they were deserving of the cup. I think it's more the case of the Preds always being a tough team for the Hawks to play against. Gotta give some credit to the Preds they have a system that sucks but they do play hard nosed hockey.

Was it the toughest series? That is debateable. We were one Flyers goal away from going to game 7 against the Flyers who did play a great series in the final. Both series were tough. As was the Canucks one it was physical as hell. The Sharks series was surprisingly a breeze lol.

but yah..its Kanes goal.

TCD, yes its Kanes goal..because he was the only one by ward..so they awarded him the goal. If you look at the frames at slow motion...the top view of the net right at the ending of the video us see clearly that Ward scored while trying to deflect it away from the net, Kanes stick is in motion with him but on the side. and the second view after as well. but the top view is the best angle.

Sorry, I don't see the puck touch Wards stick from that camera angle. Ward does move his stick at the puck, but I honestly don't know how you can even start this thread based on that.

And RK is right, who cares?
