Rizzo, Bryant, Russell, Fowler, and Zobrist were all in first place. Heyward and Soler were 4th and 6th. New update coming soon I think.

Are you from CBS?

Russell would be the only non-deserved player to make the team let alone start from the list Silence listed. Same goes for Heyward and Soler. The power of ballot stuffing.

Completely and totally agree. I am surprised that Montero isn't up there
Montero isn't up there, because most decent Cubs fans should use the Write-in for David Ross. I couldn't bring myself to vote for Russell. Seager is having a much better season. The Cub$ that are really worth leading the AS voting are Zobrist, Fowler and Bryant. Rizzo at 1B makes some sense, too. Everything else is homerism.

Oh I know. I am not saying everyone votes for homers. The comment is more along the lines on how Heyward and Soler are getting voted. Russell as well.

I voted once this year, when the ballot came out in like late April (which I think is silly). I voted for only one White Sox at that time...Eaton. For the NL at the time I voted for only one Cub...Fowler. I almost selected Rizzo at 1b over Goldy. Quite frankly it's a wash with whom you choose there. No wrong choice in my eyes.

If I were to do it again I would have to look if Eaton is worthy still of a vote. He is defensively but his bat has come back to earth. Maybe Frazier. But for the Cubs, I would vote for Bryant at 3b, Fowler in CF and Zobrist at 2b. I'd be torn again at 1b between Rizzo and Goldy. I'd have no issues at all if the Cubs get 4 starters in the lineup. In fact I think pitching wise they'll have three guys there with Jake, Jon, and Jason

I don't agree with ballot stuffing, but EVERY fanbase does it at some point. It makes you think, are there more votes because of bandwagon fans that didn't care last year before the all star break?

People aren't really commenting on the Royals fans this year like they did last year.

I hope Rizzo picks his numbers up and gets voted in with Fowler, Zobrist deserves it, too. At least 2 Cubs voted in for what should be a great season.

If all of those guys get voted in, I hope it doesn't take away from Arrieta and Lester. I think the Diamondbacks had 8 in 2002, so there would still be a chance.

Not really homer voting. Most fans vote in players on the best team just because that is what they do. What is pushing the vote are the uneducated avg fans that like the flavor of the month. If it was the Cards winning then the Cubs would get less votes

I wonder if players truthfully like going to the all star game or would rather be home for 3 days.

Rizzo is a lock already. He has an 800,000 vote lead. lol No one is over taking him. Russell is the only one in a real close race. He is the only one who doesnt deserve it.

So the Cubs just started a campaign to get Grandpa Rossy an All-Star slot. Are they reading this forum? I already had started voting for him.
