Asik out for the rest of the playoffs

Just got announced that Asik has a fracture in his leg and is out for the rest of the playoffs. No surgery required. It's a blow for us and I guess that means we're either gassing Noah and Booze again or we're dusting off Big Sexy. For the sake of Noah's energy level remaining high all game, I hope we dust off KT.

He wasn't giving the Bulls anything yesterday even while he could still play.

Hell, for about 15 seconds he was actually guarding Taj Gibson.

Thibs might just play Taj extended minutes at the 4 and 5 spot ... I think his biggest reason for not playing Thomas is if he gets switched on the pick and roll and then him hurting transition defense and offense

Not like it really matters anymore...If we had come out with a win Game 4 it would hurt us, but now it doesnt even matter.

i don't know why that would cause him to guard Taj Gibson, but didn't he re-injure the leg last night? You could see when it happened. I realize he was already hurt, but he was cleared to play and they felt confident enough to get him out there.

Put 300 pounds on a fractured leg, and then let me know how well you play

That's what I'm asking - before the game they said it was a problem with a muscle and they cleared him to play. I wouldn't imagine they would play him knowing he had a fractured leg and I'm sure they tested him. So he must have injured it further last night. Point being, he was pretty useless the time he had on court before injuring it further - 2 quick fouls and 15 seconds of good guarding of Taj Gibson.

I dunno maybe they didnt do xrays on his leg... The thing is he didnt give us anything because he was hurt... If hes not hurt he is a huge asset to our defense
