HOW DO I MAKE MORE MONEY?

I'm 23, live at home still, only work part-time, because no worth while job will hire me full-time. Lets just say I've done quite a bit with my finances already. My dad paid for my college that he had been saving since I was born with a college account through Fidelity, and since I went to a cheaper school there was actually plenty left over (I have not spent a dime of that money..its all tied into stocks and mutual funds)..I'm basically using that money for a down payment on a place to live whenever I do find that full-time job.

I have a budget set up on mint.com and have all my accounts tied in there.

Guess I dont really have a question, except is there anything else I could do?

I've heard about this "life insurance" and the "investing" thing, but I don't know much about them. I'm worried about my financial security down the road but I don't know where to begin. If only I had someone introduce me to some financial products I could put my money into. Sigh.

Way to start off life at 23 and having money invested already! that is rare.

I would say not to use all money on the downpayment for a place, some of it should go into an IRA of some sort. I sell annuities, but I suggest a government backed program.

When investing in any sort of program, remember 1 thing.....the rules can change in the middle of the game.

All depends on age and financial situation you are in.

Lets say you are married with one kid, not saying that is the case but lets use that.

Lets also say you make xx,xxx about of dollars per year in a trade of some sort

Lets say your wife is a stay at home mom who hasnt worked in 5 years with no skill or trade/education.

You pass away...How does your wife keep the house? Put food on the table? Care for the child?

Just one example of many different scenarios i see all too much.

plus it is cheap.
