Atkins DFA'd

The Cubs designated Mitch Atkins for assignment, and placed Geo an T-Colv on the DL. I am confused as it doesn't say anything about anyone being added to the 40-Man, so it seems unnecessary, unless some AA call-ups are coming.

Not that it matters, but they wanted to put Caridad back on the 40 man. Atkins was never going to do anything of consequence for the Cubs anyway.

I know Atkins is not good and should not be in the majors until he finds better movement on his pitches, but this move came out of no where and surprised me.

Yeah, I was just talking about the RP. Not, Carpetner, McNutt, Archer when moved up, etc.
