I don't know, Atkins is a Righty, Russell a Lefty. But then again, we have Marshall and Gorz who are lefty too, so maybe Russell is deemed unneeded.

His ERA was 3.00 going into yesterday's game, so it shocks me too. No idea where he saw the Russell demoted part, but the Atkins recall was on ESPNChicago and Cubs.com
