Game 4 becomes that much more important. If we win game 4, we break their back.
As awesome as Rose was, equally important is that our defense asserted itself, yet again. Crawford and Johnson had a combined 2 points in the 2nd half. If we get more of that, we should win game 4.
BTW, the Hawks are tough. People should realize that. They just beat Orlando and were more impressive than the Celtics were in beating the Knicks. But more specifically, what makes Atlanta tough, is that they make you defend 1-5. Johnson, Horford, Teague, Smith, and even Williams are capable of having games where they put up numbers. And then you have Crawford off the bench. Again, like they did against the Pacers, the Bulls are facing a team that makes you defend 1-5.
Where Thibs defense really has a history of thriving is against teams where the defense flows through a relative few. Take the 2008 NBA finals for example where Kobe was thoroughly frustrated most games. It was similar last year.
In a weird way, Id almost be relieved to play Miami since they primarily make you defend 2-4. If you defend 2-4 and make them play half court, you have a decent chance.
