Attending My First Blackhawks Game!

Hey fellas, i am FINALLY going to my first Blackhawks game on Friday. Being from Des Moines i dont get the chance to go to many blackhawks games. I love going to the hockey games here in town, I wanted to see if anybody has any pointers for me to help make my trip to the uc easier. (i have been to chicago plenty of times but this will be my first time in the UC) Also seeing if anyone is going too on friday?

And i was hoping to get a couple responses on your first time you went to see em play? How did they do? When was it? Who scored a goal? Things like that. Thanks.

you should get there early for one, to watch the warmups. go to the brewery inside of the UC, park as close as you can cus it will be cold as ****....and it will probably take you forever to get out of there.

The only tip I have for ya as you go to your first game, expect to pay a pretty penny.

I was probably older than some of you guys who went to your first game when I finally was able to make it to mine as it was out of my family's reach, but my first game:

I remember watching the first couplet of this home and home series the day before on tv and it got nasty...and was super psyched I was going the following evening. The tensions and hate continued. I about lost my mind when Manson egged Stevens out to center ice for the "main event" during this brawl. I tried like hell to lose my voice as I had a presentation at school the following day. Didn't work. Couldn't tell ya now what the hell the presentation was about, but I remember this brawl like it was yesterday....ahh, the important things in life....

My first Hawks game was last season at Carolina. Hossa and Ladd scored. Huey was awful and Cam Ward was amazing.

Thanks fellas for the info and the videos you two saw excellent first games, one because it was an amazing finish the other because its the best brawl i have seen with the hawks. I am freaking amped for some hockey, too bad i wont get to see ladd and kesler continue their spat.

Mine was last year in October.. My family has always liked the Hawks but never went to many games..

So I went with my GF and saw the Hawks beat the Preds.. Sharp and Buff scored.. then Buff railed a guy right at the end of the game which got everyone crazy..


Anyways just get there in plenty of time.. the food is expensive as hell.. don't be a ****** and youll be fine.

Yea it was a little dissapointing but i still had fun, Obviously i wanted them to win but even with the lose i wish they would have scored i wanted to hear chelsea dagger soooo bad. All in all it was a fun trip sat next to some noobies but you will have that.

Bummer about Friday's game, I went with my daughter, and I miss the crybaby Luongo. He was on fire . we had a couple of puck bunnies behind us donning Vancouver sweaters that I would have loved to give a helping hand over the rail from 223.
I started going to the games before I was married back in the 80s at the old stadium.
We were there tonight right , couple rows behind where Kaner went down. Hope you had fun though, you gotta go again when the Blues are in town!
while Im thinking of it, has anyone here taken the bus trips from Julee stadium tours? leme know, thanks
