Bari Beef

I'm having this dry-iced shipped to me , a friend down there said it was really good and i love some Italian Beef and Italian Sausage.
They have a store in South Elgin but i know some grocery stores around there carry it as well.
Just asking if anyone has tried it .

I have been to the place on Grand Ave and it is 110% legit. Just may be the best Italian Deli in the entire city. Had no idea they shipped across the US like that.

They ship out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday . Thats good to hear. The guy told me they ship out to anywhere Fed Ex goes.

Portillos does this as well. I am not sure what Bari Beef is but I assume it is a local spot that ships Italian beefs?

We stopped at Portillos on the way back from New York a couple weeks ago. A friend, and my wife had ordered a Chicago dog. They served a hot dog with just a pickle. I guess now you have to tell them that you want a Chicago dog with everything on it .................. I mean ordering a Chicago dog should say it all............ Anyways he brought it to the counter and told them he ordered a Chicago Dog and they informed him that he didnt specify he wanted everything on it ................ I mean isnt ordering a Chicago dog saying it all????

When I was at the 2016 playoff against the Dodgers someone saw me getting a dog from a vendor and walking to the condiments sections and preemptively explained to me that I better put mustard and only fucking mustard on that dog or there might be an issue. He was lucky that I only wanted mustard on the dog or he might've had another thing coming.... Then the Cubbies would've lost, not gone to the series and won and I would've been the Hot Dog version of Bartman.

LOU where ever you stopped it was not a Portillos, maybe a knock off spelled differently Pertilos or some shit, or maybe it was a Special person or Bizarro Port's.

If you order a hot dog from Port's this is what you get.

If you buy Vienna beef hot dogs and sport peppers you can make your own approximation of a Chicago dog. Even up there in the great white North they have mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, celery salt, and buns.

Next time through Chicago, get a beef dipped w/hot. Portillos has nice beef but we all know 20 places that have better beefs.

And never go back to that bizarro Pertilos, that place sounds terrible.

That is so weird, if you don't say everything they pick one random ingredient and give you that? It could have been just relish or just celery salt? If they were going to take the order literally they could have just handed them a hot dog.

A few years ago the Dalai Lama was in Chicago and went to Portillos for lunch and told the counter guy "make me one with everything". No it really happened, it actually happened just like I described, I was there and saw the whole thing go down, I'm not kidding, 100% serious.

Bari on Grand is one of the best foods shops I've ever been to. Great subs and everything else. Also Nottoli Sausage in Dunning, on Belmont.

Nottoli used to be my fave the triple X is insanely good. Now it's hands down the sausage at Morris Meat Packing in Maywood. Doesn't get as hot but it's got an amazing blend.
