OK...I admit I have had a few but I swear I saw Bartman at the game holding a sign saying "Pittsburgh got room for one more #itwasafoulball". Anyone else see it or have I gone #fullspartan

Fans did ask for Bartman to come back for a game at Wrigley. He has been in hiding since the incident. Shame that fans are that dumb. Guy did what any fan would do.

Let alone the Cubs were still winning after that. The sure-handed SS, Gonzales, blew a routine GB, etc. And they still had a chance the following game.

Yeah, and how many of you can tell girls you're a living baseball curse and sometimes people dress up as you?

Would love to see him come back and watch the game. You are absolutely right, he stuck his hand out toward a ball that was coming his direction. It was a foul ball in the stands, no different than one that went 40 rows up. Fans that blamed him for the loss are dumber than the ones that actually believe a goat, or a cat or anything is the reason this club hasn't won. Poor front office management, poor drafting and stupid decisions are the reason we haven't won. There is always a modicum of luck involved but consistant failure is a product of poor management, not bad luck.

I'm sick of the lovable losers monniker. I want enviable winner. I'm sick of Cardinal Fans rubbing the fact that we haven't won a pennant since Roosevelt was President and a World Series since Taft was president. If the damned Red Sox can 'break the curse' then there is no reason that this team, with this group, can't do it in the next few years.

It may not be this year, but it has to happen. Luck is what you make of opportunities. This is the opportunity and this is the time. If this team fails it will be because this team failed, not because some stupid curse or because some fan reaches out for a ball.

Fine, whatever. FDR died at the beginning of the season. Way to look for the most trivial mistake.

Pirates fans could do whatever they wanted to last night -- it still wouldn't have stopped Arrieta from choking them out and sending them fishing.

Good night, Pittsburgh.

And before someone gets their panties in a bunch, that was a joke.

I agree, many would have done what he did. He caught more shit than many would have simply due to "the look". Had he been a beer swilling "regular guy", most would have not had such a problem with it.
