Fine, whatever. FDR died at the beginning of the season. Way to look for the most trivial mistake.
It's not a trivial mistake. Roosevelt was dead by the time the Cubs won the NL pennant that season.

Let alone the Cubs were still winning after that. The sure-handed SS, Gonzales, blew a routine GB, etc. And they still had a chance the following game.

AGon should have bought Bartman a house, car, and given him blowjobs for life for taking all the heat off him.

Along with Baker who should have called time out after the Gonzo error and taken a trip to the mound to let everyone take a deep breath and gather themselves. I will never understand why knowing how things had started to unravel he did not do that. That series brings back so many bad memories. I still remember Steve Stone telling the fans to be cool and not give the city a bad name with the celebrating after the Cubs clinched the NLCS.

I saw a story that some fans started a GoFundIt page to pay for Bartman to go to the game in Pitt but he politely declined saying if he wanted to go he could easily afford to do so.

It is in the context of what I was saying. Jesus you guys look into the weeds for everything.

You would have been the idiot that would have jumped up and interrupted John Belushi in Animal House. (Uh, Bluto, it was the Japanese) The Delta's would have lost all momentum, Dean Wormer would have won the battle without a fight and all because someone like you had to point out a mistake that wasn't even close to the main point of the statement.

I sick of lovable losers. That was the point. Jesus. We are all bullshitting on a message board, not turning in 11th grade history exams.

Fuck.

AGonz and Trusty Baker are far more responsible for the epic collapse than Bartman.

Regardless none of it matters now with Theo Epstein on board. Dark days are over, my friends. Nobody wants any of this anymore.
