I'm going to take a break from the breaking down the Bulls / Timberwolves game. If you didn't see it, imagine that you did see it, think what would have likely happened in a game where a team on...

Baseball may be the most boring of the major sports in this country.

Don't get me wrong, I like the sport.

I just will barely sit through many games anymore unless I'm, of course, actually at it. Then they are more enjoyable obviously.

I don't like baseball as much as the other major sports...but I do like baseball. I just wish they had a timer for pitchers and hitters...after so many seconds...pitch the ball! The Steve Trachsels of the world are nerve wrecking...the Buerhles of the baseball world are more to my liking...2 or 2.5 hours...that's it...

Well I mean its definitely a better sport than basketball.

Nothing like a bunch of sweaty dudes who like to play with each others leathery wrinkled balls.

I agree and will throw in the reference of Mr. George Carlin.

Baseball isn't for everyone. I still don't get why people try to make it seem like football is much more fast paced than baseball is. Baseball is one batter at a time, football plays are only seconds at a time.

I guess it's the love for the action, but I don't need constant activity from a hitter to be entertained. In fact, the best games to watch are pitcher duals. There's nothing like watching a nasty curve make a guy look like he's swinging a water hose at the plate. Or watching a change up tie somebody in a knot and get them looking at a strikeout.

There is a time limit before which the pitcher must pitch the ball.

Well, they need to shorten that time limit a bit...but I stand corrected...its sad that there is a limit and I didn't notice it...

That article was just amazingly stupid. Heck, he admitted that his comparisons didn't even include hockey or soccer. That shows that he really only understands basketball or football, or both.

How can a real journalist write such a blatantly biased article comparing a sport to others, when he admits he only knows half of the sports, at best.

The internet has spawned way too many dipshits who can voice their opinion. Very little of them are credible.

I have to add that I am not surprised.

I could see in 20-40 years baseball being in the same situation as hockey. NFL #1, NBA #2, NASCAR (which I hate) #3, MLB/NHL #4a/4b.

Why?

Our ADD culture. Everything is now, now, now and instant gratification. The generations to come will have no patience for baseball.
