Expensive for not having a battery and if it's much of a project you will need 2 or more batteries. Check what Dewalt offers. I've got over 20 Dewalt cordless tools and love them.

I have a 20 year old bostitch nailer. It's not battery powered though, but has been an absolute tank when I use it.

The problem is finding a use for one because basic projects will still require different nail sizes. If you're just doing a single project, renting one is going to be more cost effective. Heck, sometimes screws are more cost effective for just around the house stuff.

$130 for just the nailer? wow. This is why every man should ditch cordless tools(except a good drill), and invest in a compressor. Pneumatic tools save you money in the long run, and they are more reliable.

I never rent anything. If I need a tool for a job I buy it. Makes the wife crazy when I spend several hundred and use it once. I have a wide variety of tools and equipment. My cordless tools speed up the job. I like my air tools but cordless gets you done faster at remote job sites.

Yeah it's steep. I have two batteries already for it, and I think I can get that nailer for 80 or so. Still checking into it.

You're going to pay a bit more, but I'd go w/the Ryobi One plus Brad gun. Although made for homeowners, their 18V batteries rock and suitable for commercial applications. I keep collecting their power tools from Home D, latest edition was a hedge trimmer. It runs for almost an hour continuously on 1 battery, and works as good as a corded. Same w/the circular saw etc., very long battery life and they don't run down slowly like some other batteries. When battery runs out tool just stops.

For $50 I finally ditched the extension cord without paying $300 for a gas...blower is next on the shopping list.
