more than anything, this proves portland is completely insane and unable to reasonably evaluate their young talent. let's get rudy fernandez already.

F--- Rudy Fernandez! He's a role player...gimme a break!

That said, everybody is looking for the next Scottie Pippen, I remember a young Robert Horry being compared to Pippen. It is actually easier to find Michael Jordans than Scottie Pippens in this league. I never thought I would say that...

rudy at 1-2 million a year is better than 2 perimeter players and JJ at 17 million. no one wants to be the nj nets. all we need is a guy who can hit a 3 pt shot and dribble. if we still have hinrich bring him in for defensive purposes.

plus the guy is much better than he's playing this year.

He is not going to play for 2million, and I would rather pay JJ 17mil than pay Rudy whatever because JJ is a much better player.

he'll be better for the next 2-3 years. plus how much longer does he have? more importantly, we dont need two perimeter stars. we need a damn pf.

rudy at 2 million cause he;'s under contract for 2 more years and bosh > JJ and taj.

First Rudy is not a starter. If your only ambition is getting Rudy Fernandez after watching this game tonight, you got a couple of screws loose. I would rather have Bosh and Kirk then Bosh and Rudy...personally...

really? kirk starting? i think hinrich has proved that he's not a starting guard. i never mentioned loosing kirk. lets not kid ourselves. kirk hinrich is untradeable. no one wants his contract, unless you count the offer of jared jeffries. If anyone team in the league offered me the option of getting rid of kirk hinrich and getting a nice prospect like rudy, i'd jump at the opportunity. if you dont do that trade, hou, i dont think we can ever see eye to eye on anything.

rudy can play a lot better than he has this year.

oh waite. i changed my mind. we might be able to get dalembert. MIGHT BE he's played better the latter half of this year, but beyond that we're not getting anything for kirk.

kirk is starting to warm up on me. all i have to do is rember 2 things.
1. that kirk is not a shooter,
2. i have to REMEMBER to forget that we're paying him 9 million

if i don think about those 2 things, hinrich is amazing. he gives us hustle, playmaking, and the occasional point.

Kirk is a better player than Rudy, who is not a legit starter IMO either. I would rather not have either but bringing up Fernandez as if he is Ginobili or something is over the top.

no one said he was ginobli.

he's a 3pt shooter who has potential. did i mention ginobli? did i say he was a star? we need shooting and fernandez can give us some. More importantly, what are you basing kirk being a better player on? please. show some of your argumentative "skills". I have to hear(read) this... please tell me it's something other than the kirk hinrich special.

Its amazing how a group of you get together and as a team come up with some of the dumbest s--- ever rendered by a human in the history of communication. Kirk Hinrich is a better player, he has more skills than Rudy Fernandez. How old are you? 8? Give me a break man. If you list the things Hinrich is good at and do the same for Fernandez, you would find your answer. That is if you know anything at all about basketball...

Kirk is by far more feisty. There you go. ;)

In all seriousness...he's a better defender.

he's a better defender by a mile, but i never suggested that we get rid of kirk. he can back up both of our positions. we just need some scoring. i think rudy would probably be able to help in that department next year. the guy has been hobbled with injuries and poorly defined role. plus he's playing witha new pg, and a sg guised in pg's body in bayless.

really if rudy is 2 million a year for 2 years and we can get him cheap, i dont think there's a reason not to do it. he doesnt want to be there, and we dont have much better options.

it's not like hinrich is going to up his scoring nor is morrow/korver going to be a better defender. rudy has shown flashes of brilliance. its a gamble, and i'd take it.

He has to, he is under contract for 2 yrs/3.4 mill (second year team option). The only reason I take Rudy over JJ is because I don't feel comfortable giving him the max over 5-6 years, thats too much to tie up in a older fa that isn't a superstar.

i guess i'm super exagerating. i meant they have the same luck as the clippers. they're #1 pick goes out, and they keep getting screwed by injuries.
