is there anybody else who still harbors some hope that the kid becomes the stud we always heard he was gonna be?

I know he's a mental case but I have a hard time giving up on star prospects and he's finally back to scoring and only has one penalty through two games...

Maybe I'm nuts but I still watch his stats and think he's gonna get it all together upstairs and be the next big thing.

I'm a tard.

One would hope so.
Then again, I really wanted Skille to be more than a fast skating forward (had an assist the other night).

Yeah I think prospects are like chicks... some you dig for no good reason and others, even if your friends think they're hot, you just don't care for much... I never was a Skille guy.

I'm not always right though. I remember that when we traded Barker and got Johnsson and Leddy I thought "Jesus... Barker for Johnsson and some spare prospect defenseman who won't ever amount to shit. Way to go Bowman." Doh...

Wouldn't that be sweet - a Lucic like presence at LW with Toews and Kane.

Unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath.

Yea, I've never been a fan of Beach.

He has too many issues - both on the ice and off. He just doesn't seem to make the right decisions. Control issues.

Also, he needs to dramatically improve his foot speed. It could be done though. Brouwer was a stud in the AHL who couldn't cut it in the NHL for a while because of his speed, but now he is firmly in the NHL.

Funny that you bring up Lucic when talking about Beach. Made me remember this fight where Beach basically mocked a disease Lucic has...Lucic then fed Beach his lunch.
