If the Vikings lose, they get to play the giants. They have more of a reason to lose than to win. You DO know this… right? Lol
If the Eagles happen to lose in the 2nd round, the Vikings get home field advantage if they keep winning (big if). You DO know THAT, right?

The Vikings still have the 2nd seed to play for.

Though, they may actually want to get the 3rd seed so they can get the Giants instead of the Packers (probably).

But it's very possible we end up with #1.

If we do, I definitely think we should trade out of that spot to stock up on more picks. Even moving back to #2 could get us a couple more picks.
I agree with your entire response.

whatever scenario that gives them a home game most likely.

Vikings are 8-1 home and 4-3 away. In terms of getting hot at the right time and finishing strong, they have won 4 of their last 6. The 2 losses were both road games.

There’s no way to confirm whether a team is intentionally tanking, so no, I can’t name any specific team and be 100% sure they didn’t try to win.

But many think patriots tanked their last game against the jets in 2015 to try and avoid playing the Steelers in the playoffs. You can’t tell me for sure this didn’t happen, just like I can’t tell you for sure it did.
Yeah, and many people will tell you the earth is flat. Tinfoil hats are on sale now that the holidays have passed.

Vikings will want to finish on a high note after getting embarrassed in Green Bay. Probably run out to a big lead and then they will start pulling starters.
IMHO the best Bears vs Vikings WAGER will be the over

Why would the Vikings pull their starters unless they were getting crushed by the Bears (it is not impossible, but do you see the Bears being able to crush any team with how they are playing)?

You DO know that the Vikings still have something to play for, with the 2nd seed all the way to the 3rd seed on the line. The Vikings have the same record as the 49ers and a Vikings win and a 49er lose assures the Vikings are ranked 2nd in the NFC.

The Vikings do not even have the excuse that the 49ers will have locked up the 2nd seed before the Vikings play, seeing that the Vikings play 3 and half hours before the 49er game starts.
Because the Vikings don't want anyone to get injured in a meaningless game. They realize the St. Louis Cardinals have a better chance of winning Sunday than the Arizona Cardinals.

Yup. Vikings have something to play for. I expect them to crush the bears early and Fields to sit after halftime.

After and before halftime, now.

Thank Poles for acknowledging that the risk / reward for the final game of a lost season is not worth the chance of a major injury for Fields.

Hopefully, Lovie hasn't learned that lesson yet and gets that new winning streak for the Texans during the weekend.

Dream scenario: Texans(+2.5 vs colts) and Broncos (-2.5 vs chargers) win. Texans fall Inlove with one guy at QB. We trade down to 2 with the Texans. Then Trade down to 4 with the colts and still get one of Carter or Anderson.

If that happens, what could we realistically expect to get in return? Would Texans give us 2 and 12 maybe we send them a pick in return. Then colts overall 4th pick this year and next years first?

I would get such a good laugh out of the bears getting the #1 pick.
