Florio pretty much always advocates for players to hold out. If I remember right, he is also a Vikings fan, so I am sure he would have loved it if Williams and Odunze had not practiced.

Beyond that though, if I remember right, there is essentially a memorandum of understanding or something that any player drafted will get a contract, even if injured. And it's all slotted. So, the risk is minimal from a contract or lack of a signed contract point of view for rookies.
