Seems like there's little of interest and what there is is bland, old news, and not worth reading. Other official sites seem to be a lot more interesting with some real content. Agree?

Who really cares? Does anyone on here wait for news to go out on their official site anyway? I rarely if ever visit that site.

That's why I come here. Kind of an aggregate of the good news stories, press conference videos, and banter.

Don't get me started on NFL.com's bloated site. The only outside site I use regularly is profootball-reference. No fluff, just the numbers.

It is way better than it use to be. They have cleaned up their multimedia stuff a ton,

It really is average for the league.

Bears actually do a lot of in-house media. Interviews and shit that are sometimes pretty good. Not the Larry Meyer horseshit, but their videos. That film thing they do during the season is usually good.

Haven't been to the official site since they shut down the CBMB.

I agree with both of you. I'm mostly a lurker these days, but haven't been to the site since the board shut down. This is my primary source of Bears related news these days. I'm sure the site lost a little bit of traffic after the CBMB on their site was cut.

I kinda like the whole comic book theme they are running with right now, but the site could use more of an interactive touch...so I dropped them an email asking if they have ever considered adding a message board to the site for the fans. Could be a lot of fun and drive a lot of traffic their way.

Any Bears players that were class acts seem to have a career with the organization if they want it. I like to see things like this. Spice and Izzy were classy guys who deserved it. I would like to see Miller around with the franchise in some capacity when he finally realizes his playing days are over.

I bet some asshat would post a bunch of gay porn and shut it down.

I hope they hold on to Miller. I heard he did some Quality control work with TE's during a stretch that he was injured before. The team seems to love him. It couldn't hurt having him around for input

No fluff? Numbers alone are useless.

Disagree completely. Don't know which site you're on, but the Bears site is arguably one of the better official sites.

It's not great by any means, but it's got a fair share of identity and media.

Pretty much all of the official sites are rather bland. It's just the nature of the beast. Too PC and the content, by default, has to be rather conservative.
