Read what I posted again. I never said that the constitution means nothing. Let me clarify, it means that you have the freedom of speech yes, use it in a respectful and appropriate manner! Like Monday through Saturday by organizing peaceful protests and working to get things going in the right direction, not kneeling and disrespecting the nation that's given you everything you have. If people really feel that starved for attention do it in a positive way besides disrespecting everyone around them. Idk if you guys are in or have ever served in the military but I am currently serving in the military and it pisses me off that someone can't take 3 mins out of their day to honor this country. If you don't like what this country is you have two options really. Leave, or stand up for your rights IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER! That doesn't include kneeling during the anthem.

Oh shit, didn't know the constitution has a day off every week. God damn.

I'm going to kneel if Trubisky isn't playing, for the whole game, unless someone comes by and helps me up.

Crying in our beers.

You wrote, "It doesn't matter what the constitution says for this type of behavior".

Yes, it does matter what the Constitutions says. Own up to what you wrote. It matters what the Constitution says for this type of behavior and all behavior of US citizens.

The Constitution always matters!

I am a vet and I don't support it. Just for the record

Your right to do so. I'm sure you aren't condemning their right to protest though, correct?

Same & I wouldn’t do it, however I support thier right to do it.

I clearly wouldn't have but now I would consider a respectful way. When the Commander in Chief fails to understand some founding concepts, there may be some need for clarity.

It being disrespectful to few doesnt mean to all. They have organized a peaceful protest to get things moving in the right direction but because it hurts your feelings it shouldn't be done?

Non-whites in the United States are definitely treated differently by police. And when the police commit crimes against people, they are rarely held accountable.

So what's worse? Symbolically kneeling for a symbolic ceremony, or having your people get killed?

These protests have nothing to do with the military. If anything, kneeling is paying homage to the military in the sense that people are able to do such things because of the liberties afforded to us by the military. No one is shitting on soldiers. People need to be able to see that there is no correlation between the two.

So if you have a business in a predominantly black neighborhood and an employee converts to white supremacy you have to keep that employee chasing away your customers?

This has nothing to do with disrespecting the country. It's hate against white people.

dumbass reward goes to you. even more stupid than the people saying this is "disrespecting the flag"

It's disrespectful to peacefully protest during a song that was written about a revolution, a revolution that started because people felt they didn't have appropriate representation in government?

Am I the only one that sees the irony of this?

any thoughts on the group of ppl. who were not free during the 1700's

I think there are much better ways to get their point across but yes I support their right to protest. Guess in a way I will be protesting as well as I am going to shut the TV off during the anthem as I don't want to watch what will be going on.

Actually the song was written during the War of 1812.

I think what Kap did was a bit disrespectful because he went too far. A smaller gesture than I'm not going to be part of this may have been better but I do respect his right to do as he sees fit. Just because I think he over did doesn't make me blind to his right to do so or his employer right to not resign him due to revenue concerns in an entertainment industry. Trump just escalated this to where and lash back against players will be fruitless due to numbers and only the game will suffer from lack of participation from those that only see this as anti American as opposed to exercising a right to speak out against oppression from the top.

Actually it's very American to want stand for freedom for all not some.

When did I ever say I was kicking anyone out? All I said was leave if you don't have enough respect in your heart to stand for people who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Yes, I do use what the constitution says to make a point every day of my life for the past 14+ years. And that's cause I have signed the dotted line and I am making the point to defend their freedom and yours. Like I said a time and a place for everything and if people don't want to stand for the national anthem (which signifies unity also especially during sporting events) then those people are the ones being racist and trying to separate themselves.

you need to read about who wrote the original national anthem, what it said and understand WHO it was intended for ...
