I haven't really followed the hawks for quite a while since all that rape stuff came out and I heard about that piece of trash Bobbie Hull beating all his wives, but if they pick this guy with #1 and bring Kane back to have like a Jesus Sr. and Jesus Jr. combo on skates I just might buy a hockey jersey sweater again.

think you are reading into something that isnt there. There is no reason to want the #2 pick over the #1 pick. Lets say you are correct and he doesnt want Bedard for whatever reason.. He can get a kings ransom for moving back just 1 spot and grab the guy he wants. There is no reason to be upset with getting the best pick here.

Its a scenario it looks like they already played out.

When asked about Bedard it was clearly not a decision they had at 100% like everybody else, and I think it has more to do with fit for the type of squad they are building versus 2 "perfect" fits after Bedard. Some size/speed fears. Etc.

But now if he trades down and Bedard is a 100 point player, he will be mocked ruthlessly and never work in the league again.

Had they picked 4 he could still hope one guy he likes reaches him. Had they picked 2 nobody would question what he wants to do, not really.

But now to do what he wants to do he has to stick his neck in a guillotine for 3 years or he just can't do what he wants to do.

Chicago won the lottery Monday night and they sent the one man in town who "lost" the lottery to stand there and take it like a man and represent us. Lol.

Well the latest video I saw Davidson said they could talk "strategy" since all the analytics guys came together for draft.

Meaning draft valuations of #1, #21, using the 2's and future years ammo, moving up, moving down, and team building around what they have and plan to do.

Which is great, to have a plan, but I'm telling you these guys LOVE Fantilli and have a price valuation for every scenario.

I still think there is an outside chance Anaheim and only Anaheim, could make the Hershel Walker.

No team could pay the cost of us giving up Bedard. As I mentioned before, passing on Bedard over Fantilli is about as dumb as passing on Kane for Turris would have been.

It doesn't matter how good Fantilli is (and he is good), Fantilli is not Bedard.

KD would be trying his own noose if he doesn't take Bedard; not only because he loses the best player in the draft, but also because the Wirtzes would crucify his analytical ass for the marketing opportunity and revenue (some of which already hit) that they lose out on.

This is really a no brainer. If KD doesn't pick Bedard, expect notice of his firing before the 2nd pick of the draft is done.
