This has been driving me nuts the last few times I saw a game at Wrigley. In the 90s there was a beer being served, that for some people was the "upgrade" from getting an Old Style. It wasn't a Bud product and I am pretty confident it died out in the 90s or early 2000s. Does anyone recall what the name of this beer was?

I can say that it was NOT Schlitz, Blatz, Hamms, Sierra Nevada, Icehouse, Red Dog, Keystone, Natural Light, Miller High Life, Mickeys, Busch, PBR, nor MGD.

There was a time where you could get O'Doul's from foot vendors, but that may not suit your classification of beer.

Never heard of Falstaff. Googled it and it had been around for a long time though!
Falstaff is a Pabst beer from St. Louis that was a favorite of Harry. I figured that could have been a special request when he came up north.

Was it Schmitt’s? They had some commercials in the 90’s. You’ll have to google it @NaperDan75

I have to ask, was the OP question because the beer in question was good? bad?

It must have been kinda memorable, maybe distinct features could help narrow it down?

I'm curious because this just seems so strange. Was this after the 7th inning when alcohol sales were suspended? I imagine this didn't last long as those hawking refreshments would find the weight of humping around something only recovering alcoholics would buy, prohibitive to their sales efforts. What year was this? Was it government mandated? Was this something that accidently happened one time that you happened to witness?
