Three Super Bowl winning coaches available and they’re not good enough for a franchise that’s won 11 postseason games since 1963.

Gotta have the weird OC with the league’s best offensive talent.
Why is he weird?

The game has passed him by and your sentence is missing “with Tom Brady”

Do you think they will ever win a SB with McCarthy or BB? I don't.

If the bar is just getting into the playoffs or just winning games Nagy did that much and so did Lovie. Both were first time HC hires.

What drives me nuts is this franchise will go out of its way to make the most dumb ass hires it can to end up scaring fans away from the same notion down the road.

They fire Lovie, fans want an offensive HC. So instead of the common sense hire(Bruce Arians) the Bears hire Trestman. That predictedly blew up in their face. So the fanbase and the media then scream to avoid another first time offensive HC to instead go with another retread that road Peyton Mannings coat tails.

So on and so forth. This franchise does a terrible job at looking at the actual circumstances around who's available, what they need, and what they've actually achieved vs media hype.

Matt Nagy was a top candidate when the Bears hired him. Was he the best hire, in hindsight probably not. Did Nagy develop that Chiefs offense? No. Did he come up with their offensive gameplan every week? No. Did he call their plays? No. Did Nagy improve Mahomes? No.

Does Ben Johnson has his own offense? Check. Ben Johnson derive their weekly gameplans? Check. Does Ben Johnson call their plays? Check. Has Ben Johnson helped improve their current QB? Yes and significantly. Goff has always been a very good QB but the last 2 seasons he has been elite. Has Johnson improved Detroits offense year over year with an influx of talent? Yes.

One can check all of the right boxes and is a common sense hire that the fanbase shouldn't be weary of because this franchise has gone out of its way to make the dumbest hire possible on so many occasions.

I do think that either one of Johnson or Monken will lead this franchise above .500 in their first season if they adress the trenches.and add a true bell cow HB.
