This was on 670 The Score yesterday. Scroll ahead to the 2:12 mark to see this quote.

Wow!! That guy pulled no punches/just came right out with it. Let his own words answer the critics, the haters and that one racist hillbilly (Montucky or whatever his name is) who moronically said the Bears are hiring, "average black people". Let the testimony of one Ben Johnson's agent, once and for all, refute and shut down all doubters and haters.

This guy Kev Warren is due a huge apology from many on this board who were calling for his head. He is the one guy doing everything in his power.... literally struggling/straining/working overtime to pull this moribund antediluvian franchise into the 21st century.

He is a keeper and we should count ourselves fortunate to have him.

His name is Fucktucky. He’s racist and completely ignorant. I’m sure he has another personality trait to round out his trifecta of awfulness.

Rick Smith said the process with the Bears was the best experience he’s had with any team in many years. He named Jeff King as an unsung hero because he gave Smith a ton of insight into the organization. He was highly complimentary of Poles too.

I like the hire of Ben Johnson, but until the franchise actually starts winning games or perhaps builds a new stadium, I'm not really seeing how the narrative has changed under Kev Warren. I've seen the whole "finish last, fire HC, win the offseason!" cycle more times than I'd like to have.

You should listen to the interview. Changing the perception of an organization and how it does business are major factors involved in reengineering a company.

It’s obvious Warren has dragged McCaskey out of his comfort zone. That’s a hugely positive development.

Apologize to him for literally doing his job???

Nah.

I do give heaps of credit to the McCaskeys for getting out of their comfort zone and hiring Warren in the first place. Trophies and new stadiums are not an absolute lock, but the family is putting forth the best effort towards these things and replacing the accountant with an actual "football guy" was the move literally everyone has been begging for.

I would like to see them get more love for that and less "sell the team" chants, but I get it Bear Nation...you are just passionate.

But a little dumb.

I don't disagree, but I view it as merely a step toward becoming a winning organization and, frankly, the baseline of Warren's job. If he can't even advise George, then I'm not sure what the point is of having him around. Until the Bears actually have a winning season under Warren, I don't know why anyone would be heaping praise on him. The Bears have been just as bad under Warren as they were under Phillips.
