Looks like Smith is going to be a healthy scratch tonight.

Really no reason to call him up then. Thought Bickell might be taking a seat but apparently not.

EDIT: Now reports have come out that Bickell will in fact be a healthy scratch with Smith being inserted into the line up.

Maybe John Scott can use all this down time to teach Bickell some physical things...

Watching Jimmy Hayes could teach Bickell just about everything he needs to know.

What's sad is that Bickell (from everything I have seen of the two) is a much better skater, stronger on his feet, a better passer, has a better shot, and better hands.

Jimmy Hayes actually gives some effort where Bickell seems to not give any.

A shame really.

They need to hang out and Hayes needs to get Bickell's skill while Bickell needs to get Hayes' work ethic. Then they would both be good.
