Can we swap Dayan for him? If so I approve.

He's a $15M AAV player, I'd give him three years without batting an eye.

He'd have to strike out more to play for the Sox.

And a ton more to play for the Cubs. I heard part of the renovations to WF is adding heaters to warm up the fans from all the whiffs the Cubs will be producing in 2015.
Bwahahahaha! Good one, Brett!

Nah. One of the two or three infield prospects coming in will fill 2nd ably. Of all of the position players in the organization, 2nd base has the best 3A candidates. I'd rather concentrate on pitching(4th and 5th starter) and starting catcher.

For fun here would be a mock lineup

Eaton
Cabrera
Abreu
Laroche
Garcia
Zobrist
Aram
Gillispie
Flowers

Thats a nice combo of power, athletiscm and of course OBP!

I say, find a couple or three good pitchers. They are still very thin in pitching.

The bullpen is much better, but I'd like to see at least one more starter. Maybe, Erik Johnson was only awful because nof injury and he ends up replacing Noesi or Danks, preferably the latter.

If the bullpen is healthier than last year, we should be fine with what we have. We've spent a considerable amount of money on quality pitchers this offseason... the Sox should try to build some infield depth for the bench, or trade for a more capable Catcher.

Sox need a manager who can win.

The bull-pen is better at the end but is not very solid in the middle. What I see is still a pretty thin pitching staff. We have, I think, 5 or 6 very good to excellent pitchers but a lot of question marks from 7-14 (I say 14 to account for a couple or three other guys that would be ready to call up when an injury happens. Other than Rodon, the good pitching prospects are at a lower level realistically.

Some of those guys haven't had time to prove themselves. Nobody goes 7 to 14 deep in a bullpen anyway. You would have give up valueable pieces and expand the payroll dramatically. We should roll with who we have until the deadline, then re-assess our needs.
