All that I want out of this is for Rose to address this, I don't care if he confirms or denies it. Think about it, the ONLY issue involving Rose that I remember him coming out and addressed was the issue back in '09 when the pictures of him throwing the rakes surfaced.

That would be good. I can understand why someone would want to maintain a policy of not responding to every rumor that surfaces. But after what happened last year with Rose refusing to play, this kind of stuff is somewhat believable.

If this is true, I'd really hope they find someone who would give up a lot for Rose and trade him. This kind of stuff is totally diva and suddenly the "humble" local kid who did good seems so selfish that it's a problem. If they get enough for him or if the ball bounces their way, they can draft the next local kid.

I'm guessing Rose is going to feel like people are turning on him. But after last year and then this (if true), he's done this to himself.

Trade Rose for a 1st
Trade Deng for a 1st
Trade Taj + Teague for a 2nd, and trade both 2nds for a 1st.
Have your own 1st.
Bring over Mirotic.

Next year's line-up:

PG: Marcus Smart
SG: Gary Harris
SF: Jabari Parker
PF: Nikola Mirotic
C: Mitch McGary

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
That is an over simplification of the situation.
Perhaps so, but that's basically what it boils down to. Seems like everyone and their mom is ready to throw Rose under the bus at any mention of a rumor involving him.

In related news, Dan Bernstein is a little man and has no business in the media.

After last year, why should he have the benefit of the doubt. He turned his back on his team. There's not a lot of integrity in that.

Well done.

Rose would be the back-up 2 guard for 8 games, before his fibula fell out of his leg while standing on an escalator.

Too much turnover. I'd rather keep Noah and Taj. Those guys have the competitive spirit that you want.

If they could get Wiggins or Parker and then a more conventional PG.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic.

So you were really mocking the idea of adding new players through the draft?

No, moreso mocking the idea of starting 5 rookies next season.

I DO think we should trade Deng for a 1st, and consider moving Booze if we can...Get at least 3 1sts...and consider trading up (but don't necessary have to). Jabari's going to be such a stud in this league, he may be worth 4 1sts.

I was wondering if Brooklyn might take Boozer since they're loosing Lopez. I was also wondering if we could maybe swing something with the Lakers and maybe send them Heinrich, Deng, and Boozer for Gasol, filler, and a first. There's so much salary involved however, that it might make it hard.

And I agree about Parker. I wouldn't mind Wiggins but I'd give up more to get Parker.

Lakers will likely try to not win a lot of games, too - hah

I'm not so sure. They paid Kobe a ton of money to keep the building full. Plus Hunrich, Deng, and Boozer could make them better to the extent the games would be more meaningful if and when Kobe came back.

The other thing is that someone in the front office really went out on a limb in hiring DAntoni. They passed on Phil to hire him. There seem to be differing agendas in that front office and whoever influenced the DAntoni hire would likely want him to be successful. It would be hard to justify the DAntoni hire if the Lakers tank.

You do realize that all of his teammates, Gar Foreman, John Paxson, Coach Thibs, & Jerry Reinsdorf supported his decision last season....right?

I guess your opinion matters more than their's do.

GTFOH...lol.

People say things out of self interest often, when speaking publicly. And this also doesn't necessarily indicate what they really think about a person.

Back when LeBron, Wade, and Bosh were free agents, Wade made a variety of comments about the Bulls mgt, stemming from the Krause era. Wades thing was that Chicago doesn't take care of its super stars. So even though they may not think well of Roses integrity, they have reason to not be honest about it publicly.

Have fun with the fairies and unicorns.
