Best Blackhawk Player Of All Time

that depends on the position though
Goalie wise? Its Tony O HANDS DOWN! but defense and forward wise would be tough but one would argue that Stan Mikta, Bobby Hull and Denis Savard would be up there

for me, it's Stan Mikita, I'm not using a stats argument, just an opinion, I love the way he played the game

I'd have to go with Tony Amonte, Keith Magnuson, Chis Chelios, Bobby Hull, Ed Belfour or Jeremy Roenick.

I would have to go with Roenick overall.

Greatest player to ever put on a Chicago Blackhawk uniform was Bobby Orr, but since his great days were really in Boston, it would have to be Bobby Hull.

I watched Bobby Hull play live, not sure if I've since seen anyone with his slap shot and accuracy all rolled up into one, either that or goalies are a lot better today. Heh, Bobby Orr in a blackhawk uniform as well for that matter, err play live.

I'm really not qualified to answer, as I didn't see (or have seen highlights/replays) of a lot of the 'Hawks greats...but of the ones I've seen, it's clearly gotta be Stalberg.

kidding, kidding. Chelios or Roenick.

I never got to see the old timers play obviously (only 21) but from stories I have heard and things I have read, Magnuson would have been my favorite...

Since I have started watching....Amonte, Daze (even with injuries), and Toews (lol I know a weak list compared to the all time greats)

oh, and Thibault :troll:

I'm looking forward to the day when we start talking about Toews in these threads.

Bobby Hull, not even close.

A lot of 20-somethings on this board though, so the Roenick to Toews to *rofl rofl rofl* Weinrich answers are kind of expected. This is a question for 40 to 50 year olds.... Old enough to remember the greats but young enough to not just answer with an old-timer becausee they are sick of young people.

It sucks we really have no all-time greats in the 80s & 90s (savard/belfour/roenick are all great, but not elite or all-time greats) to bridge the gap, but elite players are elite for a reason.... They are once in a generation.
