Ryne Sandberg for me...even though most of those memories are from the end of his career in the early 90's.

Sammy Sosa or Greg Maddux. Maybe Wood if he stayed healthy.

From now on, Castro may take over.

How old are you?

You remember Maddux dominant years as a Cub?

No... Just the last really but I kinda put the factor in where he won 300 games and 3000 K's. I saw those games. Also, where he played for the Braves and when he returned to the Cubs. So to answer you question all the way right, it's Sosa.

BTW I'm 19, almost 20.

I can't in good conscience say Sosa because he was juiced up.

When healthy I was always more impressed by Wood. Better "stuff" IMO. Prior was the better pure pitcher though.

Lee Smith. When he'd come into a game it was electric. He also always looked like he was out of gas from the trip to the mound. Certainly most intimidating.

I would agree. Prior was a once in a lifetime arm. I think Wood wasn't far behind.

Sosa was probably the best player I have ever seen in a Cubs uni though.

32.

I grew up watching a ton of baseball, one grandfather was a Cubs nut, the other a Sox nut. I was as a kid a fan of both until about 14 years old and started watching more of the sox with my dad.

I remember oh so well those cubs days.

Hell I was at the 89 nlcs and saw my first live home run which was a will clark grand slam.

i also loved watching mitch williams pitch.

As a 90's Cubs fan as a wee lad (like them because my dad did) Sosa was my favorite player and is probably the best I've seen. Maddux left for Atlanta when I was 2 so I never saw him as a Cub till after I was already a Sox fan.

Guys who grew up Cubs fans and are now Sox fans rock! LOL, I too am in that boat. (Sammy Sosa) Kerry Wood was the reason i was a Cubs fan in 98, so id have to say him, Prior not even that close, but second. That ive seen.

Once I got older I kind of stopped liking baseball, was kind of on the 2003 bandwagon for a bit but ,meh, I didn't even know they were even in the playoffs till the Bartman game. Then that winter my mom bought me some White Sox shirts from Value City and I kind of just ran with it and 2004 was my first year as a serious White Sox and baseball fan.

First game I watched was 2004 opening day on WGN when Lopez hit a 3-run HR walk off against the Sox in Kansas City to cap off a 5 run inning or whatever they had. :(

I would say Maddux was one of the smartest players of all time.

Maddux was really good the second time around in Chicago. Really enjoyed watching him pitch w/the Cubs.
