For this simple article I would agree with its' modern pick limit that stopped at a total of only 262 picks. However, a total draft positional list should also include four additional Bears:

Pick 271 - 12yr vet, Shaun Gayle
Pick 291 - 8yr vet Doug Plank
Pick 302 - 10yr vet Jim Morrissey
Pick 420 - 7yr vet, half of a great one-two rushing punch, the guy lead blocking out of the Pro-Set and I-Formation for Payton and providing protecting for the 1st half of Payton's career, Roland Harper

But digging into those roster acquisitions you would have to also include undrafted FA's all-time and I don't have that kind of time, so I'll stick to those 10 Bears.

Just as an additional thought for ranking the top 3 all-time Bears best late round picks, my rank would be follows:

#1 - (1983) Pick 203, 15yr vet DE, SB Champ, 4xPBer, HOFer, Richard Dent
#2 - (1984) Pick 271, 12yr vet SS, SB Champ, 1xPBer, Shaun Gayle (RIP CTEr)
#3 - (2014) Pick 246, 10yr vet LT, 1xPBer, Charles Leno

And that list got me to thinking about the undeniable prowess of the late Jim Finks during his tenure with the Bears. If I only had one wish to grant, it would be that history plays out that the last couple Poles drafts and his future draft selections approach a Finks-esqe level as it would be nice to experience another 10+ year run of Bears dominance in the NFC North and rip the keyboard larynx from the stupid MFers posting on this board wearing piss & toxic puke and gayeblue, gaye & white. (Don't have to shlt on the purple tards since they have never won a SB, but they have at least been to 4. :)smug: Yup, that last part was for you dipshlt75.5x2)

Thanks dabears70 for providing a summertime topic not already posted to death!
