My daughter just turned 5. She is in love with jackie chan clips on youtube. How do we start? The burbs version of taikwondo is Special person. She wants to learn how to be a ninja, but they teach crab walking and healthy eating. Wtf. Theres a kenpo dojo down the street, but no kids. Wut do?

  3. Phoenix Suns
  4. Sacramento Kings
  1. Columbus Blue Jackets
Spend your money on something that will benefit her later in life like language lessons. Crab walking won't get her a job

Judo is fun. Nothing like the joy of tossing people around. Tang soo do and hapkido are often taught together (one for striking, the other for joint locks), and you get the added bonus of learning some Korean.

I'm going to have to go with Jiu Jitsu. the big reason in my opinion is a child can protect themselves without hurting the other kid. I know my daughter would never want to hit anyone and would have a hard time doing so even to protect herself.

I have been into Jiu Jisu off and on for almost 20 years so my opinion may be a little biased but good advise none the less.

it's too late for that passive shit. she already learned to make a fist from her 2 yr old brother. seems like most martial arts training is just a moneygrab for these kids, i'm looking for classical training.

Dojos that are part of the World Tang Soo Do Association tend to be fairly traditional. http://www.worldtangsoodo.com/

As a ninja she is going to need some of those razor sharp stars to toss at things. Your dog won't like that.
