I'd take a deep breath next time you decide to throw out the word "Special person" towards other people, especially when you are the one who doesn't seem to get a grasp on many things.

If your saying who is the best player skill wise then that isn't a relevant knock.

It will affect the impact the player has and the way he helps the team around but it isn't a definite connection.

Both are excellent in their own regard.
Hossa proved that with the game 6 puck control that eventually led to the Ben Smith tally to tie the series against the Canucks.

While I don't have any problem with Hossa... imo the best all around, full time winger on the team...

Toews, all the way, the best all around player on the team and has been pretty much since he first stepped on the ice -- he is the heart and soul of the team, no question about it.

Yeah well the primary function of a captain (and an alternate captain) is to speak to refs on behalf of the team - so, just like being a volunteer moderator at a messageboard -- why would anyone want to be -if they didn't have to be???

Of course some guys I've played with, particularly here, look at it as some sort of bizarre status symbol.
