My favorite teams
Had the privilege of sitting next to Sporting Kansas City's PR Director in the press box last game. He told me he had been with the team since 1997, as they rebranded from the Wiz to the Wizards. Another interesting thing he told me: He believes that the 2000 Chicago Fire were the best team in MLS history, even though they lost to Kansas City in the MLS Cup.
The Fire did manage to win the U.S. Open Cup that year, of course.
