Speculation is that the Pistons will make a big push to sign unrestricted free-agent Ben Gordon this off-season.

Despite being cautious about adding salary in 2010, the Knicks will reportedly pursue Gordon as well.

Per Espn.

If that happens I would have to hate him with a passion, sorry.

I hate the Knicks but I'll still root for him. And my God would he be good in a D'Antoni offense, which I thought would happen before the season but once again another Reinsdork screwup! Thanks JR!

I am not worried on second though, BG will price himself out of talks with the Knicks.

I think I'd prefer him in NYK to him being in division-rival Detroit.

Knicks can't sign him for more than the MLE. Simply don't do a sign and trade with him.

However, if we were to trade Gordon, Stephen Curry is a guy I would like on the Bulls, and the Knicks might be able to accomodate that.

If BG goes to NY, I might die. He will definitely go off for 50 on us every time in that offense...though that doesn't necessarily mean they will beat us :p Picturing BG in any other uniform than a Bulls one is too hard for me to do.

Why are we getting so crazy over rumor Scoop Jackson started?

This is like one of those rumors where its like "Ben's from NY, hmm, why wouldn't NY go after him?" but I don't see any shred of truth to it. They can't afford him unless we sign & trade & you know what, they don't really have anything that great, so, enjoy the sting of losing your prized rookie Stephen Curry to the Wolves in the draft.

NY doesn't have a prayer. They only have an MLE and almost nothing the Bulls would want in an S & T.

The Pistons on the other hand just added another million or so in available cap with the Johnson trade. Right now, I think they have just as much of a chance at signing Gordon as the Bulls do.

This is basically a "No shit sherlock" rumor.

The Knicks put in a sign and trade offer for Gordon (I believe Marbury for Gordon and Hughes) and the Bulls nixed that.

Donnie Walsh, when he was the GM for the Pacers, tried to aggressively trade up for Gordon, trying to steal that #3 pick from the Bulls using Al Harrington, and some rumors saying Jermaine O'neal, both of which the Bulls turned down. (Bulls would have been willing to trade #7 for Harrington though).

What's going to be the next rumor? That the Miami Heat are going to pursue Gordon?

Yuck. He would be a better version of John Starks.
