Kurt Thomas, the oldest player in the NBA, has signed a two-year deal with the Trail Blazers, interim general manager Chad Buchanan said Sunday morning. Thomas, 39, has played 16 NBA seasons, including 52 games last season with Chicago. The 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward/center is expected to be the Blazers backup to power forward LaMarcus Aldridge and center Marcus Camby. Oregonian

Portland is a pretty good team. Felton is a top 10-15 PG, Matthews is probably a top 10 SG, Gerald Wallace is a top 5-10 SF, Batum is a top 10-20 SF, and Aldridge is a top 5 PF. And McMillan is a very underrated head coach.

Portland also plays the slowest pace in the NBA. It was a great decision for him to go there.

Im sure that Portland offered him more than the Vet min, wish him alll the best. A positive thing about it is that Asik should see more playing time now

Why you think he chose Hinrich over Gordon

Unlike Gordon, Hinrich plays great defense can can guard up to 3 positions (both guard spots very effectively). And he has better play-making skills. I'd say Hinrich>Gordon despite not being quite the scorer/shooter Gordon is.

Portland may be a winner, but certainly not a title contender. If Kurt wants a ring before he hangs it up, he would've had better luck staying in Chicago. Best of luck to him in Portland.

Who's to say the Bulls even wanted him back? Portland has a semi-decent chance to be a title contender. They now match up with the Lakers as well as anybody out west. And they are better than the Mavericks at arguably 4 positions.

THOMAS DID A HELL OF A JOB FOR US....WHY WOULDN'T BULLS FO NOT WANT HIM?

Maybe iif they didn't bring back Scalabrini, We could of resigned Thomas...
I'm sorry, I'm not bashing Scally, but Big Sexy was much better for our team..

Marcus Camby, Kurt Thomas, Greg Oden
LaMarcus Aldridge
Gerald Wallace, Nicolas Batum
Wesley Matthews
Raymond Felton, Pat Mills

That team is going to at the very least be in the upper eshelon of teams in the West.

I'm not a fan of the Bulls bringing back Scalabrine, although I'm sure that he cost less than Thomas did.

COST?????????

That's how the world operates today..
You gotta pay to play..
You get what you pay for..

Real Jordan shoes cost 100 and up and they last and are better quality..
Bootleg jordans are like 20 to 40 dollars and they look like shit after wearing them more than 3 times..

If your cheap, then that's what you get...

Once again, you get what you pay for and. You gotta pay to play with the big boys...
The league is in the superteam era and the orginizations that have super teams, SPEND THE MONEY..

The Bulls could buy a championship too if they put up the money..

Being cheap ain't bout shit...
I'm ridin round I'm gettin it, I'm ridin around I'm gettin it.
Its mine I spend it....its mine I spend it...
