Fire AK and extend Donovan if he wants to rebuild cool.

He's a good basketball coach don't expect more or less. A developing team is a good place for a college champion, maybe better than leading vets.

But if you don't cut out the sickness there is little point. Can AK so you can begin the healing this roster needs.

Doubtful the Bulls ownership pays a good proven coach fairly to rebuild a shit team and horrific roster so I don't expect this marriage to last.

They don't have the awareness not to blame him or the wisdom to retain him for development. I would do it absolutely.

The Bulls? Hahahahaha.

Vacuum, zero atm devoid of actual thought in that building including highly educated doctors and trainers and scouts.

There is no innovation or planning I can see coming from this franchise. Jack ass organization that will chase away the last talented pieces (Donovan, White/Ayo/Buzelis/Ball) within like 3 years...book it.

House of cards is obvious now.

Donovan won't be a fit.
White and Ayo and Ball don't make sense together.
AK will finally get canned when ownership fully sees 3 years too late how bad it is.
New GM will wrongfully associate Matas with AK and want to rebuild. Lol.

I think this is going to be astonishingly bad even for our low standards and take 5 years of good moves just to rekindle hope.

Oof.
White Sox are equally effed.

I think you might be one of the only fans who believe BD is a good coach. While not everything is his fault, I think he’s average at absolute best. They need a new voice. He should be flushed along with AKME.

There are probably many aspects of coaching outside of the actual game scenario where I'm sure Billy is great in, but his in game coaching is average at best. Yeah maybe if we had a prime KD and/or Westbrook the team would look better, but I doubt it'd be due to Billy's schemes/sets.

I do think it's fair to say that he can implement a "style" of play, but the in game adjustments that other coaches seem to make, I rarely see him make those

Also for those who didn't read the article, the "promotion" is that he is eligible to be promoted to finalist for HOF nomination. I'm not even sure he deserves that, as good as those couple Florida teams were, but I am much less knowledgeable on the college side so maybe there's an aspect of his career there that I am missing.

Longevity is always something that helps on the coaching side. Beyond that and the two titles, his win percentage in college is over .700, and he's still won 80 more games than he's lost in the NBA.
