From Calgary for Brian Connelly
goodbye Bickell!
Should be our 2nd line center. I can see 4th line but he has a playmaking touch that suites the 2nd line
Morrison is a center. Bickell is a garbage ass winger. Nice try.
2011-12 HIGHLIGHTS:
Had knee surgery in the off-season started the season on Injured Reserve missing the first four games ... played in his first game back from injury on Oct.18 going 13/19 in the face-off circle in 17:00 minutes of ice time ... went 15/22 in the face-off circle on Oct.20 ... on IR with a knee injury on Nov.10 ... taken off IR on Nov.18 ... scored his first goal of the season on Nov.23 in his return to the line-up after a knee injury ... tied a career high with four points (2+2) on Dec.6 ... consecutive multi-point games with a pair of assists on Dec.8 ... registered his 400th career assist on Dec.22 ... registered his 600th career point on Dec.29 ... scored his 200th career goal on Jan.1 ... missed Jan.7-19 with an upper body injury
you can move bolland up. i dont think he is the 2nd line center after the deadline. IMO it is a depth move more than anything else.
All he is trying to say is that there is no more room for bickell. When you are looking at the bottom lines guys become interchangeable with one exception most of the time and that being the 3rd line center. So for the most part you will see less of Bickell IMHO.
goodbye Bickell!
goodbye Bickell!
Thanks for telling me Captain Obvious.
So you posted something stupid and then came back 10 minutes later to change it to this?
Kinda confused on this one.
I don't see Morrison being a worthy 2nd line center on the Hawks, unless he magically loses 10 years of age in this trade.
But I don't think the Hawks need a 3rd or 4th line center. Bolland and Mayers, respectively, have been filling in those roles rather well. And should the Hawks make another move for an actual 2nd line center, then I imagine Kruger would get dumped back to the 4th line.
That being said, seems like it's not a big risk if it doesn't work out. Everything I've read says that Connolly had fallen behind plenty of other guys on the Hawks defensive depth chart.
He admitted today what many of us suspected about his injury last season: the infamous chirper is no longer on the team.
