Blackhawks Have Become Model Franchise

Chicago Blackhawks continue to carve niche on Chicago sports landscape - ESPN Chicago


A bit of a long article, but felt like posting it. It's amazing to see how far this franchise has come in just four short years since "Dollar Bill" passed away. A complete 180 and they're still not satisfied yet. I wish the other Chicago sports organizations would take a page out of Rocky and Co.'s book.

Unfortunately aside from Reinsdorf (in terms of championships) they all seem to have taken a page of out WWW's book - I remember it going back as far as the Wrigley's... if you keep coming, they'll keep raking in the money, and trying just hard enough to keep you showing up...

WWW took it to the extreme, and about killed the team - luckily, it was not the sport -but the management that people were responding too (same goes now for Rocky). I imagine it is tough for him at times, but also validating, in that his business ideas have been proven to work as far as bringing people to the games, etc...
